Brazil Postponed for a While!

The planned testing of Markus Bosiger – David Vršecký in Brazil has been postponed for a while. The reason is sudden death of the promoter of the Brazilian truck championship Fórmula Truck Felix Aurelio Batista, who passed away on 5th March at the age of 49 years. The cause was myocardium infarct.
Both Buggyra drivers, who planned their trip to Brazil for the end of March, agree with the postponement. "Our Brazilian partner addressed us with the suggestion for the postponement saying that is was not very appropriate to test at this moment, which we fully accept," said Markus Bosiger in reaction to the promoter ´s death. "Eurpoean cup only begins in mid May, and so there will be enough time for the testing before that." Virtually the same opinion is held by David Vršecký. "Over the weekend I spent some time studying data of Brazilian trucks. They are much lighter and lower. I am obviously tempted to try one. But I can understand that they have completely different worries in Brazil now."
The deceased Aurelio Batista was the only promoter of the Brazilian truck series. That is why his death obviously made all participants and partners to the championship very uncertain about further continuation of the series. "I am convinced that the Brazilian truck show will continue. It is a well established competition, all participants put a lot of money at stake and they will certainly not like to lose it," said Jan Kalivoda, manager of the Buggyra team.
