"Mr.60" Quartet

Just four drivers of three brands have managed to reach the maximum score of 60 points in the course of a single racing weekend after unification of the championship into a single class. We are proud to say that two of them were Buggyra drivers. This was a real tour de force.
In the 2005 season this score was achieved in Zolder by Gerd Koerber. His performance was virtually exactly copied by Markus Bosiger in the same location two years later. "A technical and quick track is most demanding for the truck. This is exactly the case of Zolder, where in addition the brakes are extremely loaded," said technical director Mario Kress in relation to the Belgian success of Buggyras. And he added that drivers are selected for vehicles and not vice versa. "Markus is a living example of the fact that a driver not littering plastics all over must not necessarily be a slow driver". And yet it was Bosiger who was within reach of an extraordinary success last year. If he did not lose with David Vršecký in Barcelona on Sunday he would obtain the maximum 120 score points in an uninterrupted succession. "To be frank, I did not even realize that. Not to lose a single race over the weekend is not at all easy, but in Zolder I was successful in all I touched," said Bosiger, adding that the last drive is always the most difficult. "At the Nurburgring I had obtained 40 score points after the Sunday qualification and started from the first row. All seemed quite easy. In a second everything was upside down."
The record winner of the "sixties" is Antonio Albacete (MAN), who "plundered" Most twice (2005-06). Another 60 score points were won in Nogaro 2006 by Jochen Hahn.
