This morning three-day testing by the Buggyra International Racing System team in Nogaro, France, has come to an end. Even though a little "better quality" weather might have been desired for the satisfaction to be absolute, both racing specials for Markus Bosiger and David Vršecký can be said to be ready for the first race of the season. The season will be launched at the Catalonia ring near Barcelona on 10 May.
While on the first testing day the weather was supportive for the drivers, a day later both Markus and David had to fight "floods" at the technically demanding track, as it was pouring rain all day long. "Every evil is good for something. Al least we could try in practice setting of both specials for potential "wet" races. This will come in handy, at least at Donington," confirmed Mario Kress, technical director of the team. "On Wednesday, however, we had enough chances to test all the new components. The data correspond to our expectations. Despite the fact that we had to sacrifice part of the day to new seat adjustment. Following FIA regulation, truck racers like F1 drivers must be provided with equipment guaranteeing that in the case of a collision the heavy helmet cannot break the driver ´s neck."
In addition to the pair of Buggyra drivers Nogaro featured the best of the MAN team headed by European ex-champions Antonio Albacete and Egon Allgauer, and supported by the new acquisition of the team, Jochen Hahn. "Of course we were interested in the times of the rivals. And that is about all I want to say to that," answered laconically Robin Dolejš, racing engineer. "We went to Nogaro to do our work. I would say we succeeded, regarding the circumstances."
