Late last night the mechanics of the Buggyra International Racing System team reached the Roudnice Buggyra Technology Centre and this morning all of them reported in the BTC. The reason is that the team are facing the first culmination point of the season, the German Nurburgring!
In the middle of the night the backup team performed the necessary input inspection of the technical condition of both specials. "The trucks are relatively all right, but a race with time will start again," explained Petr Marek. "Nurburgring is the race of the season, as for prestige, all teams want to present themselves in full shine there. Markus´ and David ´s truck will receive brand new plastics."
Like in the case of the previous races the mechanics will spend a working weekend. As the truck racing has been attracting more and more attention, the organisers have expanded the programme of the racing weekend across full four days! "The boys will start on Monday morning. For the first time this season we will build the big tent, as we expect hundreds of guests. That is why the mechanics have to be there as soon as on Tuesday," commented the team manager, Jan Kalivoda.
On Thursday the extended racing weekend will start for the pair of racing drivers, Bosiger – Vršecký, defending their last year ´s victory at the Nurburgring. "It is a little tiring at first sight. On the other hand, the atmosphere at the Nurburgring is simply great, and lets you forget that you get in the truck for perhaps twenty times in the course of the races," said Vršecký in reaction to the length of the racing weekend.
