David Vršecký, the leading trucker of this year ´s European championship interim ranking, tuned up his form before the last race of the season in the local fitness centre this morning. And as he says, the time before the final decision about the new champion of the Old Continent flies like hell!
"I read somewhere that the time is dragging like snail before most important events in human life. In my case the opposite is true," says David, who is feeling well and in optimum psychic and physical form before the decisive race of his truck career. Just on Sunday he was derailed a little by the Formula 1 race in Singapore. "Both racing drivers of my favourite Ferrari gave excellent performance, but the mechanics burned like paper. I am glad to have Vojta, Jirka and Julio behind me, and that I can rely on them fully under any circumstances."
Both Buggyra drivers, who will fight with each other in the final duel for the champion title in Jarama this weekend, do not communicate with each other at the moment, which, in David ´s words, cannot be taken as the beginning of a psychological war. "My relationship to Markus and his relationship to me are very good and I hope the same will remain true after Jarama as well. And to wage a psychological war against Markus would be as effective as to try and derail a Pendolino with a toothpick laid across the rails," confirmed Vršecký laughing. "I cannot imagine anything that would break Markus´ psychic balance. But perhaps if I gave him a round in Jarama…"
