Despite the mere two days passed since the end of the truck championship and leaving still too short time for any detailed analysis, there are several factors that are clear even today and that played a decisive role in the struggle for the truck throne, now occupied by a Czech trucker again after twelve years! The truck king is now David Vršecký!

1. Psychic strength and self-confidence
Even though last year ´s Jarama showed in practice that nearly everything is possible in truck racing, David openly stated before the last race of the season that his only aim was to win the title, and that he would subordinate all his actions in Jarama to that single purpose. The way he resolved the problems of the first half of the Saturday time practice, where he tottered at the end of the second ten racers´ train, even though not out of his own fault, was really admirable and deserves esteem.

2. Stability of form
In just two of the total number of 18 cup races David did not finish among the first and quickest triad of race truckers, thanks to which he won his champion title in the start-finish manner, like Markus Bösiger last year. And in addition one of Vršecký´s absences on the winners´ rostrum was caused by an unscrupulous attack of his rival behind the limits of the rules of racing (Albacete), and the other by the driver ´s own tactics (Jarama).

3. Perfect technology
Not a small part of David ´s victorious trophy belongs to the racing engineers and mechanics. Unlike in the previous seasons in this season David finished all scored races as the only trucker of the whole starting field. Technology only caused trouble in Le Mans this year. But even there, despite the problems with his turbocharger and the clutch bearing, Vršecký managed to finish both cup races on the third rank!

4. Martin Koloc
Even though the founder of the Buggyra team left the truck world completely in the 2004 season and has not interfered with the operation of the team he founded since, his contribution to Vršecký´s champion title is unquestionable. How far-seeing appears today Koloc´s decision made in the beginning of 1999 to take Vršecký from racing after the first unsuccessful season and let him work as testing driver and thus provide him time for human and professional maturation. In 2002 Vršecký returned to the championship as a racing driver again as a "new man", who, under Koloc´s guidance and side by side with Gerd Körber, grew race by race. Until he finally equaled his teacher.
