Buggyra dominated in Misano
If Misano in connection with the race was described as a place forbidden to Buggyras before the beginning of the truck racing Grand Prix Italy, everything is different since this year. On Saturday Markus Bösiger won when he added to his account maxumum number of 30 points. David Vršecký triumphed the following day! Before the final race in Jarama Bösiger thus leads before Albacete by 33 points, third Vršecký’s advantage to fourth Hahn is 79 points.
Both riders of Buggyra International Racing System team laid the foundation of the team success by excellently managed time practice. Bösiger won on Saturday and on Sunday Vršecký who decorated his performance by the track record. What a pity David did not win in Sunday qualification.
What can be said to the cup races? It was again confirmed by practice that truckracig is far from being “only” about performance on track. And like in Nürburgring and Le Mans, Markus Bösiger became the victim also in Misano. What was his blame? To all appearances in that he had dared to defeat Antonio Albacete on Saturday and considerably got closer to gaining the title. But similar scenario is entirely in contradiction with the scheme of Cepsa team which plans a grand celebration of the third title of Antonio Albacete on domestic track in Jarama. And so Markus Bösiger was liquidated in Nürburgring and in Le Mans by French Belloc (we already mentioned that Belloc is the rider of team of Lutz Bernau who is by coincidence also the chief servisman of Antonio Albacete). Belloc was fully “replaced” by Albacete with Körber in Misano on Sunday. It is unbelievable but although Markus Bösiger is welcome and non-punished target of attacks of all kinds, he still leads sovereignly. And we can only hope that some people will realise it as soon as possible (although I am afraid they will not make it within 14 days] that health and life are more precious than points.
David Vršecký is for a change increasingly described as a future champion. He confirmed in Misano that this future can be very near. It is remarkable how David in the course of this season changed from a very perspective rider into a first class rider. Also the fact that he won already fifth race in this season is better than any comments. Especially when we take into consideration that he celebrated total four victories during the previous two seasons.
And one pleasing information in the conclusion. Riders on both Buggyras managed to win in the course of the season so far in 13 from total 16 cup races. Not even Albacete, Belloc or Körber can change anything about this fact!
