Interview

Ivan Pišvejc

How did you get into the wild water slalom?

I'm like from waterman's family. We did kayaking the whole family long time ago. That time with Martin Koloc as well. So it is no wonder that I started too. I remember Martin. He was talented.

What team are you presenting now?

I'm going for USK Praha under the coach Pavel Přindiš, which I like the most.

How would you characterize your personality on the water?

I like to think out new things and gimmicks. I don't like copies.

Wild water slalom is like an extreme sport. Are you attracting to adrenalin sports or don't you even feel it any more?

I'm afraid I like them too much. I'm like without the self-preservation. But my mom and my girlfriend don't like it.

What is your aim for the future and what would you like to reach?

My vision is to be reputable as the best among the watermen. It is fine to win the race sometimes, but to hold the same position is much harder.
