Adam Lacko: "We will steal the points at Most, but I will get the most of them."

After the Nürburgring race was abandoned, fans of the European Truck Championship will be treated to the weekend in Most, with home star Adam Lacko as the biggest favourite. And one can only hope that the champion will be ably seconded by the Buggyra Academy's "young guns" Aliyyah Koloc and Téo Calvet.

Adam Lacko: "We will steal the points at Most, but I will get the most of them."

After the cancelled race at Nürburgring due to a natural disaster, the championship's second-placed driver said there was a lull on the truck front. The exception to the rule, however, is Jochen Hahn, according to Adam. "Knowing him as I do, given that things didn't go his way at the Hungaroring, he has built at least one new car and is testing and testing," says Adam with a laugh. "I've been lightly monitoring the competitors' actions on social media, it looks like they all had their cars ready for the Nürburgring and are now more or less resting." Traditionally, the home favourite considers Norbert Kiss, Jochen Hahn and Antonio Albacete to be his biggest rivals, while European champions Sasha Lenz has also been added this year and Adam is eight points behind him after the Hungaroring. "What I said before the championship is true. We will be fighting each other for points and I hope to get the most points."

The 2017 European champion, who has not missed out on the overall podium since 2015, is hoping for support from the crowd. "In Most, it has always been true that home is home. We are looking forward to the fans, as far as I know, the capacity of the circuit can be filled to 100%. So, come, we will need you."
