Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra goes to Barcelona to win
We have speed, the technology is new. Now just to break the bad luck. This is the goal of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team, which, after a two-month break from the last event, is going to Barcelona for the next race of the prestigious Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.

It's been almost four months since the big changes in the team that brought an immediate result - victory in the first race in Misano. Achieving the same goal is also the goal for the upcoming event in Barcelona. “Since Misano, we have been haunted by an incredible series of bad luck. It's frustrating for us because we know we have what it takes to win," says team manager Jiří Mičánek jr before the next event.
In Barcelona, the winning pair from Misano will enter the race - the long-time driver of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team Bronislav Formánek and the Polish driver Karol Basz. In addition, the team will have completely new equipment at their disposal. "We have new cars, new engines. Last week we tested in Brno, where we had the circuit to ourselves all day. We did everything to win the Pro-AM class and to be among the best in the absolute ranking," calculates Jiří Mičánek.
The team also tested the new cars in racing mode – on the first weekend in September, behind the wheel of a raw Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, Josef Záruba triumphed in the final event of the FIA CEZ Championship in Brno, who will now go to Barcelona as a coach.
Bronislav Formánek used the long racing break for training. "I'm already looking forward to get behind the wheel, the break was long. We tested in Barcelona in the spring, so we have driven the circuit in its new variant as well. I like this circuit, so we can definitely be faster there than at Spa in July," he says.
On the contrary, Karol Basz drove more than enough. He was behind the steering wheel for five consecutive weekends. "I'm looking forward to Barcelona, I really like the track. The first two sectors are fast, the last technical. There's good overtaking there, so it's fun to race there," enumerates the Polish professional racer, who got behind the steering wheel of a Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra Huracán for the first time in Misano.
"We know we have speed. We just need a little bit of luck," he says, referring to the unlucky previous weekends when the crew was knocked out of one race by an unfaulted collision and another by an engine failure.
According to Jiří Mičánek, the team is fully prepared and focused. "We want to break this unlucky streak and we put everything into the preparation. If everything goes as it should, we definitely want to go for first place in the Pro-AM class," says the team boss.
In addition to the Formánek-Basz crew, Kurt Wagner and Libor Dvořáček will also enter the race weekend. They will fight for the podium in the LB Cup class.
