The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is on. Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra wants to go for the title
The Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team is gearing up for their sixth season in the prestigious Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series, with their sights set on the title. However, the first round at the Paul Ricard circuit in France will pose a challenge for the experienced team, as well as for others, as they will be using new Hankook tires that have not been tested yet.

Teams will have a three-hour session on Thursday morning to set up the basics before the "real" practice sessions begin. The switch to Hankook tires, replacing the previous Pirelli brand, requires significant adjustments to the cars, including changes in height, camber, and springs. Team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr. acknowledges the game-changing impact of the new tires but also notes that all teams will be starting from the same line.
The team will feature a proven lineup from last year, with Karol Basz and Bronislav Formánek competing in the Pro-AM class under the number 66. Following their success of three first-place finishes in two races last season, the drivers and the team are determined to launch an attack for the championship title. Mičánek emphasizes the team's preparation, top-notch engineering, and their goal to secure the title at Paul Ricard.
Bronislav Formánek, who finished as the second runner-up in the championship last year, shares the ambition to claim the Pro-AM title and aims to stand on the overall podium as one of the top crews. Formánek has dedicated more time to physical preparation this year, although he hasn't been behind the wheel of a Huracán for a while due to the cancellation of the first race at Imola. Karol Basz, on the other hand, brings his experience from previous races and is excited about the upcoming weekend at Paul Ricard, expecting a beautiful track and aiming for the best result.
Both drivers are eager to see how the new Hankook tires perform on the track, acknowledging that they will bring a different experience. The team will focus on optimizing the car setup to adapt to the new tires. Additionally, the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team will also field a second crew, consisting of Libor Dvořáček and Kurt Wagner, who recently showcased their skills at the Red Bull Ring.
Dvořáček expresses his satisfaction with the performance at the Red Bull Ring and anticipates the challenge at Paul Ricard, taking note of the crowded start list with forty-eight cars. He and Wagner will compete in the LC Cup category.
Furthermore, team manager Jiří Mičánek plans to make the most of their time in France by engaging in his passion for jetsurfing at the nearby lake where the French Jetsurf Academy is located. Laughing, Mičánek shares his enthusiasm for the upcoming jetsurf season, while also highlighting the team's recent participation in the Czech championship in hill climb races.
