World Finals for a reward: Jiří Mičánek's Huracáns enjoyed great racing action in world competition

Compare yourself with the whole world—that's the aim of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final, which brings together the best from all three continental series of the world's fastest cup championship. The team followed up the European title won by Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina on Friday by finishing in the elite top ten.

World Finals for a reward: Jiří Mičánek's Huracáns enjoyed great racing action in world competition

"The World Final is a chance for us to meet drivers we don't know on the track and to experience an atmosphere where we can really focus on one particular race and not worry about championship points," explains team manager Jiří Mičánek, describing the "magic" of the final round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series. With this credo in mind, his team entered the two-day battle with the world's top drivers at the Jerez circuit.

In the end, only the junior crew of Jáchym Galáš and Matěj Pavlíček in the PRO class completed Saturday's qualifying; the newly crowned European champions Formánek and Rosina were sidelined by technical problems. These issues caused them to miss Saturday's first race, in which Galáš and Pavlíček finished eighteenth in the elite class. On Sunday, both crews managed to compete, with the European series champions Formánek and Rosina finishing seventh. The junior crew concluded their debut season in the Super Trofeo with a 20th place.

"We took today's race as a 'reward'; the most important thing happened on Friday," recalls Bronislav Formánek, reflecting on his European title. Starting from the back, he quickly gained about six positions. "It was a tough race—you could tell it was the last race," he says, describing the intense atmosphere of the season finale, which featured more than 150 Lamborghini Huracán ST EVO2 cars from across the continents.

Jáchym Galáš shares similar sentiments. "On Saturday, we were a bit concerned about the setup, but on Sunday we made adjustments that worked. Thanks to that, we gained about nine positions in the final compared to qualifying, which is a great result on such a technical track as Jerez. It was also fun for me. You could tell nobody was holding back anymore; the race was very contact-heavy. Everybody dropped the gloves and fought for position, but it was fair."

Matěj Pavlíček confirms this and highlights how the race was heavily influenced by the qualifying outcome. "You can't overtake much in Jerez, so the results didn't fully meet our expectations, but we still enjoyed it. I have to thank the whole team—not only for this week in Jerez but for the entire season," says Matěj Pavlíček.

The World Final concluded a season during which the team achieved three wins and six podium finishes. The junior crew of Galáš and Pavlíček placed in the elite top ten three times. "This was the best season for the team in the six-year history of Lamborghini Super Trofeo. We won the title, fielded a crew in the elite PRO category for the first time, and proved to the world that we belong among the elite in this extremely competitive championship," concludes team manager Jiří Mičánek.
