In the sign of lucky sevens, he returns to the Tatra Buggyra ZM Racing team after seven years and to the truck with which he achieved his best ever Dakar 2016 result, finishing eighth overall. It will also be his seventh participation in 2023 for him. The crew is completed by navigator René Kilián and mechanic Tomáš Šikola. Son Michal is a member of the Buggyra Academy.
