Aliyyah Koloc joins AVL Racing
The youngest and fastest truck racing driver in history cannot stop! First testing of Can-Am DV21 in a desert, then circuit racing with Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Buggyra DV 50 and then, Aliyyah is preparing to head to Graz by the end of the month.
In the Austrian city, she will be fulfilling her role as an ambassador for AVL Racing, a company that is on the top of the field in simulations. “When you get chosen by a company that works with car manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini or Mercedes, it says a lot,“ says the head of communication for Buggyra Jan Kalivoda. “Some might indeed think that Aliyyah is extremely busy, but she’s also a daughter of her father.”
And Aliyyah will be in an exclusive company, joined for example by Tatiana Calderon (1993). A Columbian racing driver has been racing for Arden International in Formula 2 since 2019 and she is a test driver for Alfa Romeo Racing, a Formula 1 championship team.
“When we got the offer, we didn’t hesitate for a single second. Aliyyah remains a Buggyra Academy member, but she’s also going to be supported by the AVL Racing junior programme, and she will focus mostly on GTs and Le Mans Series,” adds Martin Koloc. “It’s a top technological company with global reach, which gives us more opportunities. We’ve heard from Formula E and also Extreme E, an off-road racing series. So, there’s a lot of work ahead of us.”
