Jiří Mičánek broke the magic limit of two minutes at Ústecká 21 and was cheered by the reigning Miss Czech Republic

With a time of under two minutes, Jiří Mičánek joined the exclusive group of elite drivers who surpassed this barrier at the legendary hill climb race Ústecká 21. The race fans were taken aback when the reigning Miss Czech Republic, Justýna Zedníková, made an unexpected visit to the depot of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team.

From a sporting standpoint, it was a highly successful weekend for Jiří Mičánek. He secured two second-place finishes in the prestigious Group 2 category at Ústí nad Orlicí, and also achieved a commendable overall position. Despite the challenging track filled with monoposts and prototypes, Jiří managed to hold his own with his Lamborghini Huracán ST EVO2. However, he personally emphasized that what he will remember most about Ústí 21 is the incredible atmosphere rather than the result.

"The stretch from the eleventh to the fourteenth turn is truly unbelievable. People spend the whole weekend there, camping and creating an atmosphere that you can sense even while driving at high speeds," Jiří Mičánek expressed his admiration for the dedicated fans of this legendary race, which is held in honor of its founder Miroslav Urban, a close friend of the Mičánek family.

As a gesture of appreciation, Jiří Mičánek invited the reigning Miss Czech Republic, Justýna Zedníková, to meet the fans at Ústí nad Orlicí. She stopped by the depot and posed with the team's Huracán at the starting line.

Sunday proved to be the faster of the two race days. In the second heat, Jiří Mičánek surpassed the magical threshold on the course that winds through the forest to the top of Andrlův chlum hill, with a mere three-hundredths of a second to spare. His time of 1:59.97 made him one of the select few riders who completed the 21 turns covering over 3.65 kilometers of the track in under two minutes. This accomplishment is a rare feat in the GT class, marking an achievement few drivers have accomplished throughout the race's history.

"This result is also a testament to the hard work of the team. It also provided a pleasant change in our circuit season," Jiří Mičánek assessed the weekend in Ústí nad Orlicí. The team will be heading to France on Monday, where they will participate in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season opener after a delay. Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra aims to build upon their impressive results from the end of the 2022 season, during which the duo of Bronislav Formánek and Karol Basz claimed victory in all three of their last races.
