Maximum professionality
The first round of ESET iRace virtual racing series was overshadowed a bit by Ralf Schumacher’s interest in Koloc’s twins Aliyyah and Yasmeen. But Josef Záruba, who is driving for Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team, did very well and finished in the 3rd place in both races.

The team has begun its season at the beginning of March, with two tests of both Lamborghini Huracan ST EVO cars at Paul Ricard and Barcelona circuits. But then came COVID-19. “It came out of nowhere. On the other hand, this is the perfect time to show, how well is the team prepared for such situations and we have shown total professionalism. We are all together adapting to this situation and that’s why we held special test at Most with a sprint race between Lamborghini and Mercedes-AMG GT3,“ said a Buggyra racing team manager Jan Kalivoda.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra planned to participate in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and an asphalt version of ESET Cup. “At the moment, we’re still waiting for the organisers and the government on changes to the quarantine restrictions and information when we will be able to return to the racetrack. Luckily, both series are just rescheduling the events and not cancelling, which is positive. Now, we’re just trying to be prepared and that means also virtual racing. Apart from our Zero Milleage GT Cup series, our drivers also did well in the brand-new ESET iRACE series,“ added Jan Kalivoda.
