Mičánek Motorsport dominates ESET iSeries as Záruba and Makeš won at Slovakia Ring
The ESET iSeries virtual racing championship continued on Sunday with its Round 4 of the season. This time its 23 drivers headed to a popular but very technical circuit Slovakia Ring. And it turned to be an incredibly successful race day for the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team.
Josef Záruba and Michal Makeš managed to take a fantastic 1-2 victory with Lamborghini Huracan cars in the first race, with Michal Makeš also setting the fastest lap of the race 2:01.672. The third driver Jakub Knoll then finished 10th, but still on the points.
In the second race, it was all about Michal Makeš and his dominant performance. The Czech driver took a win ahead of Bartek Mirecki by 10 seconds. Josef Záruba then finished in the 7th place with Jakub Knoll crossing the line in the 10th position again. The race winner, Michal Makeš, added another fastest lap of the race, this time 2:01.647.
“There is only race remaining in the championship – at Brno. Everybody knows that circuit perfectly well, so it’s going to be a tough fight. We currently lead both championships – drivers’ and teams’ – and obviously we’re going to do everything we can to stay in the lead even after the final two races,” said a very happy team manager Jiří Mičánek jr.
