VIDEO: 170 kph between straw bales
Last weekend, Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou hosted the 7th annual of a popular SUPERMOTO Hrušovany event. As part of the support programme on a temporary street course, Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra drivers Bronislav Formánek and Jiří Mičánek jr. took part in the exhibition.
“It’s something unbelievable. The team of organisers, led by Tomáš Ševčík, has achieved something rare. They managed to close the city in just a single day and to build a kilometre-long track during the night. The whole track is outlined by more than 700 straw bales. I was doing around 170 kph in the fastest point of the track, and that was something!“ said the team manager Jiří Mičánek jr.
His teammate Bronislav Formánek, who is in Hrušovany at home, added:
“I’m glad that despite all those restrictions and limits, it’s possible to keep such a beautiful tradition alive. I’m here at home and I know each of these roads very well. The organisers say that there are almost 2,000 people here, many of them our friends and fans. I don’t think there was a single empty spot by the track and it’s so much fun and pleasure to be driving around here. I believe that everybody enjoyed it just like us and I can’t wait for next year’s event already.”
