Vršecký´s Early Finish
David Vršecký only passed a single curve of the Istanbul Park circuit in the Sunday cup race. The score ambitions of our pilot were cut off by the German trucker Reinert!
David started the race from the seventh position on the basis of his times in the super field. Right in the first curve he “scored” a hit from the above named Rene Reinert and that was the end of the race for him. “I said to myself that as Nittel quitted truck racing this season would be more about racing and less about nonsensical attacks. But I was clearly wrong,” said David with disappointment after leaving the cab of his truck. "I simply watched for my after-start position, but suddenly I felt a hit and the car stated dancing around." Another couple of seconds were spent by analysis of the damage. "If this had happened to me in the middle of the last lap I would have tried to finish somehow. In this case, however, continuing in the race would have been sheer insanity,” confirmed David Vršecký.
